Case 39 History

  • 49-year-old woman with recent history of scleral buckle for retinal detachment OD
  • Had a small gas bubble placed at the end of the buckle procedure to help tamponade the retinal break
  • Following surgery asked to maintain head up position
  • Complained of poor vision and central distortion OD at subsequent follow up visits
