Full-thickness macular hole

Differential Diagnosis

  • Cystoid macular edema: petalloid edema can cause a lamellar hole
  • Age-related macular degeneration: causes central atrophy with surrounding drusen
  • Epiretinal membrane: severe fibrosis over macula can result in a pseudohole
