Idiopathic peripapillary choroidal neovascular membrane
Differential Diagnosis
- Age-related macular degeneration: unlikely in this young patient with no associated findings such as drusen
- Presumed ocular histoplasmosis syndrome: no inflammatory findings and no scars suggestive of previous inflammation
- Degenerative myopia: patient is not myopic
- Angioid streaks: no angioid streaks present
- Optic nerve head drusen: no drusen seen
- Traumatic choroidal rupture: no history of trauma
- Chorioretinitis: no evidence of inflammation
