Research scientists at the University of Michigan Kellogg Eye Center are steadily advancing our understanding of eye disease. Through genetic studies and research that probes the functions of our visual system, Kellogg scientists are investigating the causes of diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and retinitis pigmentosa. With each discovery, they are coming closer to developing the next generation of therapies and treatments for blinding eye disease.
