Retina, Uveitis, and Ocular Oncology
The Retina, Uveitis, and Ocular Oncology Service provides a full spectrum of medical and surgical management of diseases affecting the posterior segment of the globe. Physicians in this Service have extensive experience in the treatment of diseases and conditions such as retinal detachment, diabetic retinopathy, retinitis pigmentosa, vascular occlusive disease, age-related macular degeneration, macular holes, hereditary retinal degenerations, ocular inflammation, and ocular tumors.

The Service is a referral center for the management of complex retinal diseases, ocular inflammation and intraocular tumors.

The Service also provides electrophysiological and psychophysical tests for visual function assessment in the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of eye diseases.  The diagnostic tests reflect retinal, optic nerve, and visual pathway function. Standardized A- and B-scan ultrasonography also is available in conjunction with a complete consultation or as a separate diagnostic service.
