Pediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship
Program Description
This fellowship provides broad clinical and research experience in all areas of pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus including: pediatric amblyopia and strabismus, pediatric glaucoma, pediatric cataracts, retinopathy of prematurity, pediatric ocular tumors, pediatric plastics and lacrimal surgery, ophthalmic genetics, and adult strabismus. Extensive experience in newer techniques such as adjustable sutures, botulinum toxin injection, and cryotherapy or laser therapy for retinopathy of prematurity and retinoblastoma is provided. Fellows scrub on all complex ocular motility procedures (reoperations, lost muscles, muscle palsies, cyclovertical muscle procedures), as well as intraocular and lacrimal procedures, and will perform over 300 surgical procedures during this AAPOS-approved fellowship.
