Kecia has a B.S. in Microbiology from Eastern Michigan University. She joined the Thompson laboratory in September of 2001. Kecia's current research focuses on studies of the mechanisms that regulate the expression of visual cycle genes.

Lin Jia

Lin received her M.S in Biochemistry from Fudan University in Shanghai China. She joined the Thompson laboratory in the fall of 2007. Lin's work focuses on the development of therapies for treating X-linked retinitis pigmentosa.

Austra has a B.S. in mathematics and computer programming from the University of Michigan. She has managed the day-to-day operations of the Thompson laboratory since 2001.

Shameka J. Shelby

Shameka received her B.S. in Biochemistry from Xavier University. She joined the Thompson laboratory in the spring of 2007. Shameka studies the molecular mechanism of signal transduction in RPE phagocytosis.
