Co-investigator in the Collaborative Corneal Transplantation Study analyzing immunological aspects of matching corneas for transplantation; use of sutured posterior chamber intraocular lenses in the absence of the lens capsule; cell biology of corneal epithelial migration and specific cytoskeletal proteins in wound healing; acceleration of corneal wound healing using hormone and/or peptide eye drops; use of weak-electrical fields to influence corneal epithelial wound healing; LASIK and PRK excimer laser clinical research.
