Stephen graduated from Eastern Michigan University and has worked in several research labs at the University of Michigan since 2001. He joined our lab in March 2010 and currently serves as a research associate and lab manager.

Roshini received a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Columbo in Sri Lanka and an M.S. in Chemistry from Eastern Michigan University. She joined our lab in July 2009 and enjoys doing research, especially flow cytometry. She lives in Ann Arbor with her husband and three children.

Erin grew up in Los Angeles and then moved to Anchorage, Alaska. She attended Yale University where she played varsity soccer and majored in molecular biology. Erin is currently enrolled in the University of Michigan Medical School and has been awarded a Howard Hughes Medical Institute fellowship. This fellowship has allowed her to take an extra year of medical school to work on a translational research project in patients with Graves' eye disease.

Bin earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Ohio State University in 2007. He has three years of postdoctoral research experience from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. Bin joined our lab in July 2010.

Ying earned her Ph.D. in Ophthalmology from Yamaguchi University, Yamaguchi, Japan. Prior to joining the Douglas-Smith lab, she worked in the Heckenlively lab on autoimmune ocular diseases. She joined our lab in September 2010 and is now working on the role of fibrocytes in Graves’ disease.

Nupur received her Ph.D. in Biochemistry at Bose Institute in Calcutta, India. She is working on interactive signal transduction pathways in Graves' disease. She also is studying molecular markers in the context of this disease and looking for potential therapeutic intervention. Nupur worked with Drs. Smith and Douglas at the Jules Eye Institute in Los Angeles and made the move with them to Kellogg.

Jazmine is an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan studying American Culture and Chinese. She performs clerical and administrative tasks in Drs. Douglas' and Smith's offices and also provides additional support in the lab and Thyroid Eye Disease clinic. She plans to attend graduate school in fall 2013 and pursue a Ph.D. in American Culture.
